Take Twelve is a compilation of popular recorder piece written by Paul Mann for children in Infant and Junior Schools. The pieces are catchy and have been performed on many an occasion at school concerts, including the Kirklees combines primary schools music festival in Huddersfield town hall. The pieces, especially the early ones are intended for use in the classroom where they are particularly suitable for learning musical notation in a practical and enjoyable way. As a young recorder player progresses the collection, increasing musical and technical demands are made on them. Trhough playing they assimilate the fundamental musical elements of pitch, rhythm, tonality, dynamice, texture and form.
