The Way You Look Tonight – SATB

Featured in the film Swing Time, originally performed by Fred Astaire. This song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1936.The song was sung to Ginger Rogers by Astaire. It was written by Jerome Kern with lyrics by Dorothy Fields, who later remarked, “The first time Jerry played that melody for me I went out and started to cry. The release absolutely killed me. I couldn’t stop, it was so beautiful.” An exquisite song that your choir will love. The arrangement is not easy and splits the choir into eight parts, but is well worth the effort. It was sung by Chorus Amici when they won Choir of the Year on BBC television.
